Critical Thinking and Reading

in_conclusion.png

In conclusion, critical thinking is an important process readers should use in order to understand what they are reading to a much deeper degree.

Critical thinking is an active approach where you engage in what you are doing or reading. This is the opposite of a passive approach where you wait for the information to come to you.

With critical thinking, you are the biggest part of the process. Make connections, ask questions, draw conclusions! Be a participant in your thinking process instead of a bystander.

Think of your brain having an on/off switch. While using critical thinking, try to keep that switch in the on position.
